Ksenia Solo was born in Latvia on October 8th, 1987, and later was moved, along with her family, to Canada due to the political upset in Latvia at the time. She began as both a dancer and actress, beginning her acting career at the age of 5, and training in dance for most of her early life. At the age of 14 she received a back injury that rendered her unable to continue to practice dance regularly. She is a strong advocate of anti-bullying, having been bullied in some form during childhood.

Ksenia is popular for her part in "Black Swan", as well as her role in "Lost Girl".
