The Queen of Thorns / Lady Olenna Redwyne/ the funny old lady or Margaery's grandmother is the mastermind of it, with the help of Petyr Baelish (the brothel owner), he's the one that paid that guy Sansa saved... and that guy's supposed to give Sansa a hairnet with the strangler crystal poison disguised as amethysts, but in the show he gave her a necklace right? and the grandma touched it when she spoke to Sansa for a bit, earlier in the show right? that's when she retrieved the poison.
Margaery's her favorite granddaughter and she wouldn't let Joffrey lay a finger on her unblemished skin.
It's a poison made from plants which their house is known for.

I've only watched until ep4... so far, I've met Sarah, Alison, Cosima, Katja, Beth and Helena, and I was blown away by Tatiana's talent and accents! It's amazing to see it actually and I'm glad I was able to see it.

I totally agree! Her performance is simply stunning! I wasn't sure about her when I first saw OB, but after the second episode... hands down. When S1 ended I had no idea what to do with my life without Sarah and Cosima.

Nope Season 5 hasn't started yet . I'm really tempted to just start watching from there, but I want the backstory! I've only just started season 2, Gail just had me hooked from the start *sigh
