I watched this epi last night and must say I felt sorry and pitty for Lauren through what she had to go through.
Pitty for her cause she finally acknowledged that she can't be happy with a succubus and how much sucky it must feel especially if you in love with said person sad . She took on a relationship that she just can't handle.
No matter how much eyesex candy we got with Doccubus, it was a disaster from the very start. I can't see them being a happy couple in a long run, don't really get how others can see this couple work. They can be occasional lovers yes, but a monogamous or happy couple, no way.

I forgot, I was offended by this episode because Tikbalang was based on our folklore, and what they did in the show was really annoying to me, and the creature they'd presented was laughable.
Tikbalangs are badass creatures, they are half-man, part horse.
They usually scare travelers and lead them astray.
They could have made it court and abduct women in the show, that would have been more acceptable.

Tikbalang (also written as Tigbalang, Tigbalan, or Tikbalan) is a creature of Philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and forests of the Philippines. It is generally described as a tall, bony humanoid creature with
disproportionately long limbs, to the point that its knees reach above
its head when it squats down.[1] It has the head and feet of an animal, most commonly a horse. (Wikipedia)

Here's how Tikbalang looks like-, and I say Lost Girl sometimes you are just lazy

I heard Grimm is going to have an episode with a manananggal in it, w/c also fr the Phil. and I am really looking forward how will they show that. It's a creature who feeds on pregnant women's unborn babies, its body cut's into half in midsection, the upper part leaves the waist down, and it grew wings and fly to stalk its victims.
They are humans transforming into the ugly creature during the night specially on full moon.

Here's a pic.

Ok, at least in this ep they made RS say Tikbalang and I love it, accent and all. lol
Plus, the slap scene was kinda hot.

That's exactly what I was about to say. biggrin At least it was Tamsin who figured it out in a blink of an eye (as opposed to a certain supposed know-it-all).

So, I watched the Grimm episode last night in cable and I was wrong, its not a manananggal episode but another creature of the dark from my  country, called Aswang. I have to say that I was happy about how they told the story and how they presented the creature. It's obvious they did their research and its pretty much accurate (Except how they really looked like, bcoz I haven't seen one, so I'm not sure what do they really looked like).

Anyway, its true they are believed to have the ability to shape shift to a black cat, black dog or black bird in stalking their victims, they do have long lives, make tik tik sound, don't get sick, and sometimes hypnotizes you....but I was pretty sure they eat children or peoples innards (heart specially) not unborn fetuses dry ( b'coz  fetuses are what manananggals eats).

Oh well, anyway, its a good story, I was just hoping they did a manananggal ep b'coz they can fly (I like wings), and they said they are usually beautiful women and they eat fetuses to stay beautiful and young, plus during their rituals, they apply oil on their naked midriff to uh smoothly separate the waist up from the lower half of their body, also, then they stretch and stretch ...and then they sprout black wings, grow fangs and long nails, the eyes turns red and then fly to hunt for their next victims.
Just seeing the ritual would have been epic!

Oh and these Aswang and Mananggals are said to have the ability to infect normal people and make them one of them by serving them food with their saliva. The elders don't die unless their son and daughter willing accept the replace them.

Honestly, when I was young, I run really fast if I ever heard a tik tik sound  eek damn that bird!
